New Zealand is undoubtedly a stunning location but its people make it truly special. Tourism New Zealand recognised this, and as part of its more people-focused strategy, were looking to highlight the relationship between local tour guides and visitors.

Skip travelled the length and breadth of the country in order to capture the moments in-between. Natural, candid and heart-felt interactions between Maori guides and their guests. Skip provided a photographer of Maori descent which made the job so much easier, allowing for better access and providing a deeper understanding of those portrayed. By the time the assignment was over, Tourism New Zealand had too many photographs to choose from.
